Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, actress and song writer. People are familiar with her because of her character as Erica Goldberg on the popular comedy television series 'The Goldbergs.' Her primary focus is as the performer. Music was always her first passion. At the age of 12, music became important enough to start training professionally. When she was 13, she started making music. She recorded her debut album at 14 years old. And the rest is history. Orrantia is a native of the USA but has Hispanic roots. She is a native of Hispanic roots even if she was only able to speak English as a child and her whole life was in the USA. She strives to preserve it by learning to speak Spanish and writing songs in the language. "Hasta Verte", a Spanish-language song that she's recorded can be a perfect illustration. In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the first season of The X Factor. Orrantia was awarded the X Factor's four "yeses" by the panel of judges on the Seattle live audition stage after having been selected from her YouTube video submission. She was originally an individual performer. However, following "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were put in groups to take part in the auditions. The group was removed from the program during the fifth week of live performances.
