Cecily Legler Strong is a known American actor and stand-up comedian well-known as a prominent part of the cast on 'Saturday night Live'. Her professional career started with theatre however, she found herself drawn to comedy after taking an improv course at nine years old. She had a dream of making a career as an actor but quickly realized her passion was comedy. She then shifted her focus on improv shows. Her first stage was as a cruise ship performer with crew members from Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago and other improv troupes. Strong has performed at popular festivals, like Chicago Sketch Fest. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. New York Sketchfest. and Virgin Daiquiri. Virgin Daiquiri is an all female improv group. The show's biggest star was 2012 when she appeared on 'Saturday Night Live' in the 39th season as a star cast member as a co-host of The Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Her character in "The Girls You'd Like to Not start a conversation with at a Parties" was the most reminscent moment in her series. In the same year she made her movie debut in the film 'How to Sponsor a Uterus.
